if lacrosse is not about pleasing the desires of spectators, then what is it about? do you have some romantic notion of "the game" as pure and untouchable? you're so wrong if you think that teams will change the way they play, not to mention the fact that it's not "the fans" that wanted to institute a shot clock. how do you know the shot clock would have been so bad?
