so many people fail to see the big picture with tourny aq's. in the long run, they will help the game. players will realize that they have a chance to go to the tourny while going to a lesser known school that plays in a weaker conference, and because of that the talent pool will spread out, and we wont have the same 3 or 4 teams every year going for the title. also, schools are more willing to invest money in a program if they feel that it has the chance to win their conference and go to the big natnl tournament. there will be more scholorship money available to lax players, and new schools might start feilding teams. look at st johns. they realized that football was too expencive, so they cut it, and added lax because they knew that they could compete for a tourny bid in a relativly short period of time. its amusing that so many seem to not see that aq's will help in the long run.
