| | I don't think hopkins knows exactly what their going against. Well the midfields are as even as they come- Harrison, Donegar, Boland, Ford, etc vs Rotelli, Shannon, Glading, Dixon, who has really stepped it up towards the end of the season,Whitty on LSM, and DeViellers at the faceoff X. I think Hopkins is Underestimating Uva's defense, as Brett Hughes and Ned Bowen are as good as they come, and Whitty is definately a force to be reckoned with. Im not sure if the Jays are aware that when the cavs d is on top of their game, they can easily give the best teams some trouble. And If Johnson produces like he has in the past few games, Its not going to be as high scoring as hop's las few games. But the thing I dont think they have realized is that Christmas is not their whole attack. While JC is a great player and is very important to their attack, if Ward and Yevoli are doing well, any defense would be in trouble. And this was shown yesterday against Maryland's D. What I've come to realize is usually teams put their best defender on JC and then Ward or Yevoli explode and end up having a four or five point day. With Uva, you never know whos gonna be hot, teams just assume it will be Christmas. But I fell I'm not giving the hop enough credit. They have a lot of great players and the thing that amazes me is how consistently they play like a team. Hardly anyone is ever selfish. And Uva cant play like they have all season, with one or two offensive players doing well. They will need a solid game from Tillman and his D, and probably at least three of their five top scorers to play their best to stay in this game. Its should make for a great game, and will be able to go either way, but Im saying Uva on top(only because Im a fan, Im actually pretty nervous).
