| | I say its going to Johnson. He’s hands down the best goalie in lacrosse. There are two other goalies with better save percentages, but their schedules can’t touch UVA's. I personally think he should have had 1st team AA since his sophmore year. The only thing that could get him is the regular season. He’s a post-season player; you can’t get a ball past him when the crowd is chanting his name. However that may help the other three contenders are Powell Harrison and Boyle (according to IL, and I happen to agree with them). Boyle, he’s an amazing feeder, probably the best in the game right now, but you have to score some goals as well if your gonna be an attackman who earns this prestigious award. Harrison can get it done. He’s quick, smart, and the kids got an amazing shot on the run, But without Donegar to take off some pressure this year, his numbers wont be as high I think. Powell is Tillman Johnson’s main concern right now. I know there are hundreds of you Powell haters out there but Mike is sick, he’s incredibly nasty. Everyone’s read that SU is going into this season "fired up" and its led by Powell. He can feed, he can score, and he can break the ankles of any defenseman on him. (I know i'm gonna get a lot of criticism for that comment but it's true). He needs 62 points to break his brothers record at Syracuse this year and if he does it within the time needed, I think he'll get it over Tillman Johnson. But I think the best goalie in lax is gonna get it other wards. 70 points is a lot to get with the attention he deserves. So its 1)Tillman Johnson 2)Mike Powell 3)Kyle Harrison 4)Ryan Boyle |
