Solvable Problems

Crockett & Bucktooth had 4 goals each (No go to Players?)
SU's problems lie in these facts: The goalie only makes the expected saves-seldon the exceptional save. Pfeifer let's more weak goals in than big saves made.(and his defense ask's him for far too many exceptional saves)
Midfield (1-on-1) defense and Longpole defenseive slides. Jarett Park is the only short stick who can play ROCK-solid defense--but he needs to be used at the offensive end of the field also. In the days when the this type of defense worked for SU they had much better TAKE AWAY long-poles. Now they push way out off ball and the 1-on-1 man gets beat instead of taking the ball away (and it looks like no one knows who should slide)and when they do they are so far off ball the slide is much too long and too late.
Losing any game at anytime to anyone 15-16 does not point to Offensive problems. I think 22 more final 4's will come and go before there are offensive problems at SU. However, a long hard look, not at the players but, at the defensive philosophy and scheme is more than needed.
Hats off to UMASS for playing great at both ends of the field and out running (The Run and Gun)
GOOD LUCK THE REST OF THE WAY.
