Tierney's Best Coaching Job Ever

That came in 2000 in the Final Four against Virginia. Princeton was very young, and UVA had a loaded team, led by Conor Gill, Jay Jalbert, and Ryan Curtis. Virginia had a 4 goal lead in the 4th quarter, but Princeton came back and won by 1. People blamed the Virginia goalie, but I disagree. I think that Tierney outcoached Starsia so badly down the stretch it wasn't even funny!

Don't get me wrong-Starsia is a great coach. However, he is nothing compared to Bill Tierney, except as a recruiter.

If these 2 teams meet again, it could be deja vu.
