OTHER BIG GAMES THIS WEEKEND
by Naptown Fan on April 21, 2007 @12:08:22 AM

Cornell vs. Princeton-This is for the Ivy League title. Due to Princeton's tougher schedule, Bill Tierney's brilliance in big games, and due to Princeton having improved a lot, I am calling the Tigers.

Navy @ Hopkins-Navy hasn't beaten Hopkins since 1974. Both Navy and Hopkins had big wins last weekend and will be hungry for wins tomorrow. The Blue Jays need to win 2 of their final 4 games to be eligible for the tournament. This could be a big game for Navy, too. If they lose to Hopkins and don't win the Patriot League Tournament, it is not guaranteed that they will make the NCAA Tournament. Something tells me that this is the year that Navy finally gets it done. I say Navy wins, 10-9 in O.T.

UMASS vs. Georgetown-UMASS, last season's Cinderella team, is only 5-5. However, they have won their past 3 games and have improved a lot. Georgetown, though, is more talented and has played a tougher schedule. I am picking the Hoyas, but it could be a close game.
