They are always a good team, no matter how many games they drop this year, and besides, look at the offense in these past three games, defense is turning it up a bit too. Cuse has their backs against the wall, and Cornell was the first team to face that.
A hell of alot of confidence goes with being undefeated in the tournament, and maybe that's what Cornell needs. Who's to say that they aren't post season players? And since when was Umass a post-season team?, or Navy two years before?
These "post-season" teams change every year, a few remain consistent, but most of all, there are new contenders always climbing the ranks. What will make the post season is this post season, you can't use any other tournament to compare this one, cause its different every year.
Cornell lost to navy in 04, duke in 05, and umass in 06, all of which made it to the championship game. But now they have the top seed, and that's gonna help. |
