| | Laxy-laxers do suck and are a pain in the ass at every level. In my opinion, these players start out around the 7th or 8th grade. These guys usually start out with a decent underhand shot with great velocity, better than the other players. After they miss however, instead of chasing, they look at their stick to figure out why they missed. They also cradle unessesarily when no one is on them. They love stick fakes, and they love one handed wrap-checks. On groundballs and faceoffs, they usually hang back for a loose ball, let their teamates take the man (even if they are the ones in position to take the man) wait for the ball to pop out while they plan for a fancy one handed scoop and a fast break that will most likley include unecessary stick fakes that lead to a bad pass or shot most of the time, and incredible goals and plays some of the time. Every team has these players, some more than others and I think most coaches and players can agree that they despise these players because they are not TEAM players. Thats just my opinion though. |
