Georgetown beating Duke
by Bulzac on May 5, 2008 @11:21:42 PM

Everyone has been saying how Georgetown beat Duke and how that should've pretty much guaranteed them tourney entry with a solid 9-4 record. I don't disagree, but the selection committee clusters wins, from 1-5, 5-10, and so on for the top 20. So even though the Hoyas were the only ones this season to beat the Blue Devils, the win is only equal to a win over someone like Maryland, and I think maybe even Notre Dame may have finished in RPI top five. So Denver technically has as many 1-5 wins as Georgetown if that is correct.
Personally I like the Pioneers. I think they will be fun to watch on TV and hopefully they can challenge Maryland.
