Prediction About The Crowd At Navy
by Naptown Fan on May 9, 2008 @02:45:56 PM

I predict that, if it ends up being Navy vs. Hopkins and Maryland vs. Virginia, a Quarterfinals attendance record will be set, and it very possibly could be the biggest crowd ever to see lacrosse games outside of the Final Four. That is, if the weather is decent. Think about it:

1. All four teams have huge followings in the Baltimore, Washington, and Annapolis areas.

2. Both games would feature big rivals facing off against each other and teams that have already met this season. And, let's not forget that Navy would be trying to beat Hopkins for the first time in almost 35 years.

3. Annapolis is convenient from both Baltimore and D.C.

4. Navy Stadium is the best place to watch a lacrosse game.

5. Annapolis is the best town to hang out in after a game.

Now, records could be set even if it is not those four teams that play next Saturday. But, I say that, if it is those four teams, the crowd will be, hands-down, the biggest. Agree?
