You think that this is bad - listen to the tv games sometime (WMAR). All you hear is constant chatter about who played with the announcers, where they went to school, who they had lunch with etc.

If the announcers don't know the players big brother, coaches uncle, or your daddy, forget about getting any notice. They must take little time to prepare because they can't usually even pronounce the names properly.

They review one or two name players then talk about them the whole game.
