This is awesome for defense but not for faceoffs, I would suggest the stallion if you want a defensive head and do faceoffs. But if that's too much then just go with a torque since they are so much cheaper and just as good |
 | - stingthemiddie 10/11/12 reply
Probally gonna get this head because i check sticks alot and i do faceoff's will it stay stiff ? |
 | - stingthemiddie 10/08/12 reply
I play middie im a big defensive player is this a good head for defensive but i also do faceoffs so is it good for faceoffs too ? |

 | - Psttt...lax? 8/23/12 reply
I've had this for two years and I just strung up some one elses proton U and mine is still just as stiff as the brand new one. I love this thing. I have an x10 and honestly I think this is, for the money, the head I would buy. I like the shape of the x10 but this is and stays a lot stiffer. And you're saving 20 or 30 dollars. Not saying the x10 sucks, but this is VERY good. The edge is cool, too much money. Oh and the best thing about this is the scoop. It sounds wierd but its angled perfectly for a pole. you barely have to bend over. the only thing it lacks is pinch
 | - dakota 15 8/14/12 reply
great head. can be pinched easy which makes it so much better.its a little heavy but its a good head for d. |
 | - brosiden3069 7/25/12 reply
it summer so i figured i would try it. its easily the strongest head on the merket but also the heaviest. but is a god head, i use monster mesh but regular mesh should be the same. |
 | - STX_LAX4 7/03/12 reply
solid head. super stiff and wide so it's easy for pass and catch. I recommend this head for a d pole that wants to throw some hard checks. |

right now i have a revo pro 2.0. I love it but after a year it isnt stiff nymore. will this thing stay stiff? if not ill stick with the revo because i know that evn tho it aint stiff it wont warp at all. |
 | - Captainunderpants 6/24/12 reply
Honestly the best D head ever!!! Proton U is stiff and wide, but a bit of a pinch, just perfect for long pole. Love it. |

 | | - massholedefense 6/26/12 reply
i would say this bc the bionic is a begginners head. this may be more expensive but it is at a higher quality

i know the X10, edge, and this are all super stiff, but i havent had any of them. My friend says the edge doesnt stay stiff for some people. the revo is pretty stiff but doesnt stay stiff |

Hey i'm new to lacrosse and I'm going to play d. I want to get this head, and what shaft do u recommend with it? |
 | | - Dpolebeast 5/21/12 reply
I recommend the X caliber head though a bit more expensive its my favorite head. I have run several middie backs with it and its very tough! |
 | | - Warhawk530 5/26/12 reply
if you do have an extra 100, get an f22, very durable, not alot of grip but still very light, i had this for an entire season, no dents at all, ready for some summer lax with it
 | | - RĘ~ŁÅX 6/06/12 reply
Okay if your a beginner the best deep pole is the vanadium. It is a little big heavy but you get used to it. Iv had it for 2 seasons now and there is not one dent in it or crack. It's a very heavy duty stick and hurts like hell if you get hit with it. |

If you play d and your looking for a head under $70 get the protonU. For LSM it is ok you might want a little more pinched head in my opinion. Bottom line Amazing head!!!!!! |

Ive got this on one of my poles and I also have an x10 and I gotta say I like this a little better than the x10. its stiff, easy to string and I like the wieght of it. It's on a pole what do I need a light head for? also it scoops really well |

this head is ok. it is kinda heavy and it is kinda stiff for like half a season and then starts to bend. but for the price it is good. also what i did was when itr started to bend just change heads for a little and and then put it back on and it was a little better.

Great head for D, sooooo stiff. My poke checks make all of the wimpy attack drop the ball. A little heavy on my swizzle but still great for gbs and catching/throwing. Dont pick this if u run up alot and try to dodge, its too wide for that. |
 | | - Ciarán23 10/10/11 reply
i would personally vouch for the proton u, ive never used or seen a blueprint before, looks pretty nice though, i dont like the edge though, its kinda overated, the u is pretty decent, and its cheaper than the blueprint. idk its up to you, i play both lsm and full d, and it gets me through, it warped a wee bit though this summer cuz ive been playing non stop since june

are u like really irish because who vsays a wee bit |
 | - LAXBRO1965 10/08/11 reply
should i get this or the blueprint for closed and lsm? |
 | | - mjppgh 10/15/11 reply
go with this, it is wider than the blueprint which makes catching so much easier, especially with a dpole and its one of the stiffest d heads out there |
 | - Ciarán23 8/31/11 reply
i got this head like six months ago and i love it, if u play defense u should definitly get it, but the only thing is u hav to string it right, especially with six dimond, and also all my shooting with it has it warped to the left a wee bit, but its a good head, and it really has stepped up my playing ability n' stuff, and all my coaches noticed, so... :-) |
 | | - bellefontelax 8/09/11 reply
I'd say they're about equal. I prefer the Proton U, but after and really sunny the Edge might be a little tiny bit stiffer. Not much of a difference in stiffness though. |

I can't decide which head to get for defense: proton u, x10 or xcalibur, or is there anything better for 75 or under |
 | | - seanyg 6/26/11 reply
I have both of those heads. personally, i like the proton u way more than the x10. before this head, my starting head was the x10, and it cracked on both sides where the plastic is molded together. the proton u is really stiff, but there are not that many stringing holes compared to the x10. your choice, but i would goo with the proton u. |
 | | - xavier lax 7/21/11 reply
the edge is one of the best d heads and its is around $50 i think but if it is out of those choices i would say excaliber only the x10 is not that good and i have never used the proton u |

i play defense im between this xcalibur x10 and clutch
 | | - NateSennett83 6/17/11 reply
x10 dude. i use it. the other two starting guys on my team used the clutch. but overall the x10 is probablly better. if u want more pinch use the xcalibur |

How wide is this head compared to the super power? I need a backup and 90 for the super power is too much to spend twice. |
 | | - tlaxing21 4/29/11 reply
this head iis good for defense, but its way to heavy for attack or middi, u should get a evo or revo if u want something good and kinda cheap
 | | - thisguy539 5/04/11 reply
This head is soooooooo wide. Actually a decent head, my friend has it and if strung correctly still has good hold but the thing is at least 100X wider than the superpower. If you want a good back up I'd suggest the Gait Torque, there are some people that hate it and some that love it, but its light, pinched, cheap and really accurate. |

ive heard of people using this head on d poles how good is it? can u put six dimond on d poles? ive never seen it |
 | | - bellefontelax 4/15/11 reply
Six diamond is actually most popular on poles. It has a lot of hold, but a much slower release. Out of the larger diamonds, I would choose 8d. It's a perfect in between for 10d and 6d. |

im a midi, should i get the proton power or super power? i keep geting mixed reviews and its mad annoying |
 | | - SULax36 4/07/11 reply
The proton power and super power are essentially the same head except the super power is a bit wider. If you are playing high school rules not NCAA go with the proton power. It is and has been the best head for years for midis and attackman. Great pinch, easy to string, and its durable. You can face with it too. The super power is a great head as well just with less pinch. You cant go wrong with either it all depends on how much pinch you are looking for. |
 | - LaxRoker92 3/23/11 reply
This head is really heavy. Although it comes at a great price it lacks stringing holes and does not have a great scoop. If you are looking for a d head, then go for a brine blue print or an x10 |
 | - Jawa_Lax 3/19/11 reply
STRINGING IS HORRIBLE, IMPOSSIBLE TO MAKE A GOOD POCKET IN IT. VERY TOP HEAVY! AND SAY GOODBYE TO ALL BALL CONTROL! |
 | | - bellefontelax 3/25/11 reply
Ball control is all about stringing, and I've seen people who can string this amazingly. You are probably a novice stringer, and don't know to make a channel. If your a real defensemen, top heavy doesn't mean anything. Don't write in all caps, it makes you looks like an idiot. |
 | | - dirklax39 3/27/11 reply
yah impossible for you to string this, you string like you tie your shoe. I could make a sick pocket on the cheapest stick, i could make it throw better than your start stick or should i say bench stick? |

this is pretty wide, about as wide as the x10. so its for d but its super easy to string and makes a good pocket and has a really good feel. Its stiff enough to play aggressive d. Only thing i don't like about it is it's a little heavy but not a big deal at all and super cheap. I'd say its just as good as x10 but cheaper |
