Scenes From The Blue Jay Fall Classic

BALTIMORE, MD -- Fans of the Johns Hopkins lacrosse team will get their first chance to see the 2008 edition of the Blue Jays in action on Sunday, October 7 as JHU hosts the Blue Jay Fall Classic at the Boys' Latin School in Baltimore.

Head coach Dave Pietramala and the Blue Jays will welcome Cornell, Rutgers, Penn State and Ohio State with each team schedule to play two games. The schedule for the day is as follows:

10 am
Upper Field - Cornell vs. Ohio State
Lower Field - Johns Hopkins vs. Rutgers

12:30 pm
Upper Field - Rutgers vs. Ohio State
Lower Field - Penn State vs. Cornell

3 pm
Lower Field - Johns Hopkins vs. Penn State

 I know Hopkins beat Rutgers by 2

and Rutgers lost to Ohio State.

Also, did you see the new gloves on Cornell? I think they are new STX gloves. Hasn't Cornell always been a Brine Team?

 The new helmets are the Pro7's. They help protect against concussions and are lighter. Cornell is now sponsored by STX as is Syracuse. Because Nike and STX are partners Nike made all schools that uses brine or warrior gear with Nike jerseys switch over to STX. All except UVa.

 a lot of schools that were nike/stx have actually switched away from stx but still use nike - gtown and navy are two of the big names who made the switch this offseason
