The Game Story:

SANFORD, Fla. - The top-ranked Salisbury University men's lacrosse team was pushed to the brink on Thursday afternoon by No. 16 St. Lawrence University before the Sea Gulls rallied to win, 11-10. The Sea Gulls outscored the Saints 5-1 in the decisive fourth quarter at Sylvan Lake Park in Sanford, Fla.

Salisbury (9-0) trailed 3-1 after the first quarter and 6-5 at the half. The Saints (0-2) outscored the Sea Gulls 3-1 in the third quarter as St. Lawrence led 9-6 as the teams entered the final 15 minutes of play.

The Sea Gulls have won 72 consecutive regular-season games and 32 straight since the beginning of the 2007 season.

SU sophomore Jake DeLillo scored the final two goals for the Sea Gulls. Sophomore Mike Von Kamecke scored a team-high three goals in his homecoming to the state of Florida. Senior Greg Titus matched Von Kamecke's three marks. Fellow senior Matt Hickman had a team-high three assists while junior Kylor Berkman scored a goal and an assist. Seniors Michael Lennon and Kyle Burto added a goal each for the Gulls while Bruce Richardson had an assist.

Junior Riley Clark (seven saves) started in goal for the Sea Gulls but was later relieved by junior Zach Krissoff (three saves) in the third quarter.

SU outshot STL 32-27, won 16-of-24 face-offs and was 20-for-20 on clears. The Saints were 24-for-29 on clears.

St. Lawrence had four different players score two goals apiece they include; Kevin Russell, Peter Carroll, Will McKee and Ben Prime. Dillon Simpson and Cory Yawger added a goal each.

These two teams met two years ago in Florida as Salisbury won 9-7. St. Lawrence is the alma mater of SU coach Jim Berkman.

Salisbury will get back into its Capital Athletic Conference schedule next week as the Sea Gulls host York (Pa.) College for the first official night game for men's lacrosse at Sea Gull Stadium on Tuesday, March 25, at 7 p.m.
