by laxology333 (#185818) on 4/30/08 @4:15PM
Cuse should be number on just because Duke won the ACC they're ranked # 1... I think if Cuse played in a conference title they would of won it

Duke and Syracuse vs. mutual opponents
by geep I (#191428) on 4/30/08 @8:13PM
Let's look at ther comparative scores vs. mutual opponents:

Georgetown: D 7-11 S 9-8
Loyola: D 21-8 S 13-8
Hopkins: D 17-6 S 14-13
Va: D 19-9 & 11-9 S 13-14
Army: D 10-6 S 8-7

Duke was 4 & 1 ( not including both Va games )
Syracuse was 4 & 1

Goals: for Duke ( not counting the 2nd Va Game )
74,against 40( + 34 ). For Syracuse 57, against
50 ( + 7 ).

It's hard for me to see what the "league" had to do with the ranking. Although both with terrific teams Duke certainly has a statistical edge.
