Jason Miller Named Assistant at Army

Jason Miller Named Assistant at Army
press release August 24, 2000

WEST POINT, N.Y. - Jason Miller, a 1993 Springfield (Mass.) College graduate who most recently served as an assistant coach at Rochester Institute of Technology, has been hired as an assistant men's lacrosse coach at the U.S. Military Academy, head coach Jack Emmer announced.

Miller is entering his sixth year as a collegiate assistant coach and his first at the Division I level. Last season he helped RIT advance to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division III Tournament, where the Tigers fell to eventual national champion Middlebury.

From 1997-99 Miller served as a graduate assistant coach at Springfield while working toward a master's degree in education, with a concentration in athletic administration. Springfield captured the New England ECAC championship in 1998. During that time he was also put to work as a graduate assistant football coach, as well as a graduate associate in the athletic department, where his myriad of tasks included game and facilities management for several Olympic sports.

From 1995-97 Miller was an assistant coach at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pa., and prior to that term he spent one season at the high school level as an assistant varsity coach at St. Edward's Upper School in Vero Beach, Fla.

Miller also has extensive lacrosse camp experience under his belt, including camps at West Point, RIT, Hobart and Navy. He has also worked at the Four-Star Camp, Peak 200 Camp, Players Choice Camp, Elite 150 Camp and Peak Performance Camps.

Miller is single and resides in Highland Falls, N.Y.
