The banner was raised as the NLL season opened at the Air Canada Centre. More then 17,000 fans showed up to partake in the afternoon festivities and watch their hometown heroes fall to the Albany Attack 12-9.

Nick Trudeau opened the scoring in the first quarter for the Albany Attack at 12:52. The Attack kept the pressure on as Attack captain Mike Regan, scored the second goal in the quarter. The Rock battled back with goals from Manning and Stroup. Both teams were tied at two at the end of the first quarter.

The Attack outscored the Rock 3-1 in the second quarter, as Teat added two goals and Josh Sanderson added one. But the ?Wildman? Aaron Wilson closed the attack lead to 2-goals. The Attack went to the locker room with a 5-3 halftime lead.

Toronto came out of the dressing room on fire. Three un-answered goals put The Rock in the lead for the first time in the game. Steve Toll, Todd Richard, and Kevin Finneran scored the respective goals. It seems almost as soon as Toronto gained the lead, the Attack clawed back with an equalizer scored by Josh Sanderson. Obviously frustrated by 4 straight Albany goals, the third quarter finished with Toronto trailing by a score of 9-6.

Albany, once again, began the fourth quarter with a quick goal scored by Josh Sanderson. Motivated by yet another large deficit, The Rock netted three quick goals in a span of 1:35.

The attack remained unphased by Toronto's sudden resurgence. The final score of the game was 12-9 in favour of the Albany Attack.

The Toronto Rock?s next game will be in Calgary against The Roughnecks on January 17th.

I think maybe Philly might be doing something for the good of the leauge, letting a top player go somewhere else to help that teams draw. Philly sells a ton of seats to every game, they need to spread the wealth for the common good.
