wow who scores 22 goals..i particularly dont like the MLL very much i dont get excited watching it at all...i would much rather watch a college lacrosse game over MLL any day i feel like once anyone gets the ball its an immediate goal i dont like the goaltending at all...however...i do appreciate everyone that plays in the MLL becauseof their love for the game. lacrosse needs to get bigger and i definatly think that the MLL helps people get involved in lax
Its true of all good shooters that a goalie rarely "makes" a save, rather, if there is a save, the shooter made a mistake. If you take every good shooter and put them on a team and play, most shots between the pipes are going in. Goalies will of course make saves, but the odds are against them. I like the idea of the MLL, but as it was said earlier, I too do not find it exciting. Not sure why...just doesn't feel exciting, lacks the passion. Maybe if its rules and regulations better reflect the rest of lacrosse.
I hope it the best for the future, as professionalism will always grow a sport.
they need to change some rules.. it just isn't as exciting to watch. I don't even think they make PLAYS. where is the suspense? where is the tight defense? All i see in MLL games are balls being shot, and repeat, its too fast faced. Like watching a shooter movie without a plot, and all action. It just isn't interesting. They should change some rules to increase competition and challenge.
so what if their is so much scoring, i would rather have a lot of scoring then have low scoring games because its just not as entertaining. What do u want the MLL to do? change the game completely? MLL players are making rediculous plays and rediculous shots, they just make it look easy, if these MLL players don't entertain you then you don't need to be wasting your time watching this sport
Add another pole. While I'd like to see it taken away in college these guys are good enough it won't hinder the game.
Take away the two point shot, it's stupid. Make the stick regulation changes that college is make.
There's a difference between high scoring and too many goals. It really is stupid. There's no semblance of defense because it's near impossible, and there's no way the goalies can keep up with everything. It's ridiculous.
I don't know a single person who didn't know the game of lacrosse and became interested after watching an MLL game. I have seen people get interested after watching a college game, even though it's the most boring form of the game to many fans. Obviously they're doing something right, 50,000 people don't go to MLL games.
the mll is very comparable to the NBA with the shot clock, two point line, and no defence. College lacrosse is much like college basketball with slower tempo's and defense. Rabil's left is better than his right which makes me wet.
Yeah only a goalie would complain about all the goal scoring in the MLL. The economy killed the MLL this past year and it needs all the help it can get. People are drawn to lacrosse because of the fast pace and all the scoring. And plus, what could possibly be done? Be more strict about the depth of the pocket? Make it mandatory to have five passes before you can go to the cage? Yeah don't think so. When you only have six teams to put the best lacrosse players in the world on, they are going to be stacked, and most likely going to score lots of goals.
Do not equal interest. Look, I'm all for high scoring games, but I'd much rather watch GOOD games. Not people just running around and ripping shots for goals right and left. If I want to watch summer league I can go back to Syracuse and pop up to Henninger or the Valley and watch some games for free.
The MLL is better.. While the NLL requires more skill and grit, I like the MLL better becuase it is more about athleticism and speed. Maybe its becuase I like playing feild better than box but I think its way better when you can split your d man from X and take some sick wrap around shots, or dish over the net for a qstick or setup a clean fast break. I think when the MLL is played with better defence hard slides and more chippy players it will be overall a better game to watch
I agree with you on some stuff but the nll is alot more skilled. its alot harder to beat a man in a confined space than an open field. i wish there was something that could be done to make mll a lil bit more intense cuz 22 goals is just too much. these guys are just so good at scoring. it rarely gets intense down to the last few second unless its overtime.
