HS Game of the Week: West Islip vs. Lakeland Panas

West Islip took out Lakeland Panas 20-10 Thursday at Hofstra. The Lions went on to win the New York state Class A Title game 13-5 over Fairport.

Kid is 5'1 was an all-american this year. last year he shut down Hopkins midfielder John Ranagan in the section championship where LP almost pulled the upset here he held best high school player arguably ever to i think 2 assists in the first half pretty good.

Both goalies didn't do well at all. Lakelands goalie seemed to move out of the way on every shot. Maybe it's just me but really? I don't depend on my stick 100% when I'm playing and I just dont' understand why you feel sorry for someone who moved out of the way of just about every shot.

The Lakeland goalie looked pretty fly with the black sweatpants but he played pretty bad... I mean he showed no energy or movement to the shots. Just laziness and slow stick reaction

I was there the game was closer then the score showed it was 9-7 in the 3rd islip was too deep nd wore LP down but lp wuld beat those teams u listed below

Whoever is saying that teams like darien couldnt beat teams on LI are retarded. whoever was the genious who said Gallaso> fairfield coutry is retarded. ever heard of Case Mathies hes a sophmore and hes probably as good as Galaso much more potential too the kid scored 9 goals and had 3 assists in the state championship to go alone with his 98 points on the season one again hes a sophmore..... what was that ..nicky gallaso
