WEST POINT, N.Y. - Jason Miller, a 1993 Springfield (Mass.) College graduate
who most recently served as an assistant coach at Rochester Institute of
Technology, has been hired as an assistant men's lacrosse coach at the U.S.
Military Academy, head coach Jack Emmer announced.
Miller is entering his sixth year as a collegiate assistant coach and his
first at the Division I level. Last season he helped RIT advance to the
quarterfinals of the NCAA Division III Tournament, where the Tigers fell to
eventual national champion Middlebury.
From 1997-99 Miller served as a graduate assistant coach at Springfield
while working toward a master's degree in education, with a concentration in
athletic administration. Springfield captured the New England ECAC
championship in 1998. During that time he was also put to work as a graduate
assistant football coach, as well as a graduate associate in the athletic
department, where his myriad of tasks included game and facilities
management for several Olympic sports.
From 1995-97 Miller was an assistant coach at Franklin & Marshall College in
Lancaster, Pa., and prior to that term he spent one season at the high
school level as an assistant varsity coach at St. Edward's Upper School in
Vero Beach, Fla.
Miller also has extensive lacrosse camp experience under his belt, including
camps at West Point, RIT, Hobart and Navy. He has also worked at the
Four-Star Camp, Peak 200 Camp, Players Choice Camp, Elite 150 Camp and Peak
Performance Camps.
Miller is single and resides in Highland Falls, N.Y.
