Florida teams those two teams would dominate any of your teams its two diffrent play styles totaly northern teams would get physicaly out matched by Florida teams...... and lacrosse in florida is a lot better then all you trashy people think it is and i wouldent talk crap unless you have came and played down here.
I read all the posts before watching the vid and thought for sure that the florida lax haters were exxagerating, but they weren't. This vid all in all just made me angry. The fact that anyone on here backs up this lacrosse as viable competition for anyone up north is insane. the play was pretty average. The kids looked on the smaller side in my opinion so whoever says that florida laxers would out hustle anyone up north and that the northerners wouldn't be able to handle their non "sissy" ball needs to be admitted to a nut house.
I have to agree, if your going to show Florida lax show the best of the best in Florida. Also, you guys usually have pretty descent quality videos. I also agree with the Midwest comment, it really is growing. I know CMA (Culver Military Academy) picks up recruits every year, being an academy. Their roster is half Canadian.

Doing nothing but talking about how average the play is on this video/how much better you think you are is way too important to you people. Get a job/education/life and then actually just congratulate the people who have decided to pick up a stick and engulf themselves in the love for lacrosse like the rest of us.
All programs start somewhere. It disgusts me all the hate talk. The thing I love about this sport is that everyone who plays it loves it. There is a comradere between players. Watch florida lacrosse over the next few years and see how many players start showing up on D1 rosters. FYI Jacksonville Univ. is a D1 program.
Once again you get on lax.com to talk shit about high school kids. You say that you played at Ohio State, the MLL, and the NLL. That would make you in your mid 20's or early 30's, we all no that you are full of shit because anyone who graduates from a major university has a life which you clearly do not. My guess is you are about 5'6 125 lbs. and are the kid who went out for high school lacrosse and got straight jocked on, now are so jealous of anyone who has the least bit of talent you feel the need to take all your insecurities and anger out on high school lacrosse kids. Either get a life or kill yourself! One way or the other no one takes you serious in any way. As for the video both teams look mildly decent, but Ponte Vedra is supposed to be one of the top teams in the state of Florida and did not prove it by any means, their defense couldn't complete a 3 yard pass or slide to save their lives and their goalie looked god awful. Sloppy lacrosse on the entire teams part.
In 2010, the McCallie School from Chattanooga TN beat McDonogh 9 to 8 in 2OT, look it up. Yes, some play in this particular game did suck, but not all lacrosse in the south sucks. Don't be ignorant, there are good athletes everywhere. Lacrosse is a sport and its talent isn't confined to any one region. Bostonlax33 is plain stupid to just write off southern lacrosse as "10 years off the pace".
