Stringing With Boomer: Channel String





Lax.com's stringing guru is back with some tips, tweaks, and techniques for lacing up the perfect pocket.

In order to grip the ball a little better and tighten the feel of the head, Boomer shows us another crafty trick, this time stringing a channel string in a regular field head.

i used the previoues double sidewalling done on the goalie head on my field head and works really nicely but might try this 1 =]

first, his sidewalls are extremely loose, making the pocket less consistent. if you interlock all the way down, you get a very consistent pocket and tight channel, making it less dependent on the second string.

im not shooting this video down or anything, but just saying that theres a better and easier way to making a good channel.

“First” - I don’t think this is a sidewall tutorial.

How can you hate on Rabil? As long as has he keeps ballen the way he does, the dude could wear his hair in a reverse Mohawk and people shouldn’t care.

Thank you Lax.com for another great tutorial. I also use this method, but I call it my cheat-string. What this extra string is doing, is moving/pinches your pocket more towards the center of the mesh. Also, when this string is pulled tight, it helps by griping the ball and channels it for a more accurate toss.

I just got a head that Boomer had strung for me for faceoffs and it is the best strung head ive ever gotten. amazing hold and throws like a champ. if u read this boomer, im the kid who is friends with P.J. thanks for the head man
