Bowhunter Cup Highlights

The War Memorial at the OnCenter in Syracuse, N.Y. played host to the innaugural Bowhunter Cup this past Saturday.

The game pitted the U.S. National Indoor Team against the Iroquois Nationals in a tightly contested battle. The U.S. team was led by Casey Powell (#22), and featured a roster including names like Paul Rabil (#51) Joe Walters, Kevin Buchanan, and Bill McGlone. The Iroquois squad featured recent college stars like Cody Jamieson (#88), and Jeremy, Miles, and Lyle Thompson.

The Nationals jumped out to an early 4-0 lead, but the U.S. battled back to knot the game at six, and eventually pull ahead 8-7 in the third, a lead they would never relinquish.

The boys in red, white, and blue celebrated their 13-11 victory by hoisting the Bowhunter Cup at game's end. Since the game was an early exhibition test for both teams, the make up and rosters of each team is likely to change.

The teams will meet again, along with defending champions Canada, during the World Indoor Lacrosse Championships in Prague, Czech Republic, on May 21-28, 2011.

If you were talking about #88, then you are nuts. He scored twice, I'm not sure why you think he looked retarted...

Jameison sucks a big one. He does not deserve #22 in no way. He wasy like the 30ith draft pick in the mll. If it werent for one lucky shot he wouldnt be anywhere right now. Bitter is a boss... and who is bitter's boss?Ned Crotty, the real best lefty.and yes he is lefty. The #1 draft pick. Because he can acually play lacrosse. Unlike cody jameison who sit on his fat ass all day. Simply because he sucks. Now go suck a fat chode!

first of all i was at this game, the usa had numerous pros on their team playing against a bunch of college and highschool kids and maybe 4 or 5 pros, it would've been different if the rosters were both pro only or vice versa
