The Cannons and Lizards were locked in a 12-12 dead heat with a tight five seconds left in regulation. Tom Zummo launched a Hail Mary 50 yard-plus pass that hovered in the halo of lights and seemed lost in the realm of the possible.

The MLL Champions were in fine form on possession (especially off-ball) working the ball harder and faster neutralizing the potency of the Cannons’ tenacious defense. ‘The’ difference was between the pipes. Bud Light MVP Brian Dougherty roared with 28 saves on 41 shots. Roy Colsey led the Barrage with five points. Despite a third-quarter run, the Cannons fell short 16-14.

Boston’s Kip Turner made out with 20 saves. Rabil led the offense with four goals and one assist.
