Garden City (NY) is the LaxPower High School Boys' Lacrosse National Champion for 2012.

LaxPower, the world's leading authority on lacrosse team performance ratings, is pleased to announce the National Coaches/Computer Ratings for high school boys' lacrosse for the recently completed 2012 spring season.

Garden City of Garden City, New York is LaxPower's national champion for 2012. The Trojans capped off an undefeated championship season by winning the New York Class B title. They finished in first place both in the coaches' poll and in the computer ratings. Garden City (22-0) received 24 of 25 first-place votes among the coaches. No. 2 Calvert Hall (MD) received one first-place vote and finished third in the computer ratings.

The top five programs in the country for 2012:

#1: Garden City, Garden City, NY (22-0) — New York Class B champions
#2: Calvert Hall, Baltimore, MD (16-2) — MIAA A champions
#3: Haverford School, Haverford, PA (21-2) — Pennsylvania IAC championship finalists
#4: West Islip, West Islip, NY (21-1) — New York Class A champions
#5: Conestoga, Berwyn, PA (23-3) — Pennsylvania PIAA state champions

The final rankings were compiled using LaxPower's CCR rating formula, which combines the national computer rankings with a national poll. The computer ratings used for the rankings are based on over 27,000 game scores for 3,500 high school teams. The poll is a product of rankings by 25 high school coaches from around the country. Each of these parameters represents 50% of the final tallied results.
