We chose these as our primary starter set this year at Lax.com because we overly impressed with the quality to price ratio here. I mean... there is no way that Maverik is making any money on these starter sets for the amount of technology they packed in . Flexible gloves and ultra wide straps on the arm pads make a great fit. The shoulder pads adjustments will allow you to fit these properly to your kid for maximum comfort. The material underneath is soft enough to allow younger players to wear these without a shirt ... which helps them from getting to hot. Most importantly, the stick is strung with HARD MESH . If you buy any other starter set they will most likely have soft mesh and you just wasted your money. Soft mesh will break in too much with younger players and the will throw the ball straight in the ground. We will not sell soft mesh in any of out starter sets here at Lax.com . This is the best priced, highest quality set on the market this year for sure .
