GAME INFORMATION Massachusetts 9, [RV] Delaware 6 Records: Massachusetts (4-5, 1-0 CAA) • Delaware (7-4, 0-1) Location: Garber Field; Amherst, Mass. Attendance: 304 HIGHLIGHTS Jeffrey Trainor (two goals, two assists) and Grant Consoletti (one goal, three assists) led the Minutemen in scoring with four points apiece. Tyler Bogart scored twice for his seventh multi-goal effort of the season. Bogart has scored at least twice in each game he tallied a goal this year. Dan Muller dished out a career-high-tying three assists. It marked his second consecutive game with three distributed as he also had three against Brown on March 25. Noah Rak controlled the faceoff X with a 15-of-18 showing and six groundballs. Rak bested Crosby Matthews (3-11), Jake Hervada (0-5) and Sam Walsh (0-2). The Minutemen had an assist on each of their nine goals. FIRST QUARTER Delaware pounced on a two-goal lead less than halfway through the opening frame with conversions from Will Hirschmann and Alex Brunner. Jesse Leung put in the opening Minuteman goal – his first as a Minuteman – with six minutes, 28 seconds to go in the first to cut the deficit in half. Muller collected his first of three assists as he found Leung near at the doorstep for the goal. SECOND QUARTER The Blue Hens pushed back in front by two with Andrew Romagnoli's 29th goal of the year at the 11:33 mark; however, Massachusetts responded with back-to-back conversions from sophomores Tyler Bogart and Ben Spencer, which included Spencer's fifth man-up tally of the year. Spencer's mark with 2:43 to go evened the game at 3-3 heading to halftime. THIRD QUARTER Buddy Carr gave the Minutemen the lead for the first time on the day with the opening tally of the third quarter. Jake Lisauskas dished to Carr toward the right of the goal before Carr tracked toward the middle and fired a left-handed shot by Delaware goalie Matt DeLuca. Bogart added his second of the day in the third, sandwiched around Blue Hens goals by Steve DeLargy and Charlie Kitchen as Massachusetts and Delaware headed to the fourth knotted at 5-all. FOURTH QUARTER After DeLargy briefly gave the visitors a one-goal lead with 13:05 to go, Massachusetts took control of both ends of the field. Jake Marino evened the game with the short-stick defensive midfielder's fourth goal of the year before Jeffrey Trainor tallied during a 30-second shot clock situation for a 7-6 advantage with 8:31 to go.
