Earning its sixth-consecutive victory, Harvard men's lacrosse remained perfect in Ivy League play with a 10-8 win over Dartmouth on Saturday afternoon at Harvard Stadium. Freshman Kyle Salvatore tallied his first-career hat trick with three goals, including the game-winner in the fourth quarter, while senior Morgan Cheek led the squad with four assist and five points. Senior Robert Shaw made 10 saves, while the Harvard defense held its third opponent in four games to just eight goals. Senior Sean Coleman had a team-leading four ground balls, while junior Jonathan Butler and freshman Jack Frisoli caused two turnovers apiece. Harvard (7-1, 2-0 Ivy) got out to an early 3-2 lead after the first quarter with goals from Salvatore and seniors Carney Mahon and Robert Mencke, but Dartmouth (2-5, 0-1 Ivy) took a 5-4 lead into the intermission. Breaking out in the third quarter, Harvard took a two-goal lead as four-different players found the back of the net, but Dartmouth leveled the score, 8-8, with 9:53 to play. Salvatore's third score of the game gave Harvard the lead for good with 5:57 to go, and sophomore Kyle Anderson iced it with his 25th goal of the year in the closing minutes. Shaw stopped 10 shots, and has made double digit saves in seven games this season. Game Notes Harvard earned its third win in-a-row over Dartmouth, and improves to 50-39-1 all-time.
