A four-goal fourth quarter put the game away, as Air Force handed Furman its second-straight SoCon loss, 11-3, on Saturday in Colorado. The win moves the Falcons to 5-8, 3-2 in SoCon play, while the loss drops the Paladins to 3-8, 3-2 in SoCon play. The Paladins were led by Gus Pinsoneault with two goals on the day, while Chad Kreuzer added one. Alec Van de Bovenkamp made 10 saves on the afternoon. The Paladins took the early lead on a goal by Pinsoneault, before the Falcons responded with three-straight goals to take a 3-1 advantage after one quarter. Pinsoneault netted his second goal of the day in the first 1:30 of the second quarter, cutting the lead to 3-2, but Air Force rattled off eight-straight goals over the rest of the first half, all of the third quarter and 13:00 of the fourth to take an 11-2 lead. Chad Kreuzer scored with 1:05 remaining to put the final score at 11-3. Air Force was led by Jack Flynn, Trey Lervick, and Chet Dunstan with two goals each, while Nick Hruby added a goal and two assists. Furman is back in action on Saturday, April 21, welcoming Jacksonville to Paladin Stadium for a 12:00 p.m. regular-season home finale.
