Playing in its first conference game in the PBC, the Lander men's lacrosse team battled the Alabama-Huntsville into double-overtime to come away with a 15-14 victory. Lander moves to 4-2 overall and 1-0 in the PBC while UAH drops to 2-5 overall and 0-1 in the PBC. Sophomore Adam Mather was instrumental in picking up the win against the Chargers, as he scored eight goals and added two assists. Sophomore Krew Conroy and sophomore Drew Wilson both added two goals each to assist the scoring efforts. The two sides were inches apart from each other for the entire game, with neither team able to establish a lead larger than two. Having to go to not one, but two overtime periods, Lander was able to find a seam to attack, as Wilson ripped a shot into the back of the cage with 3:44 left in the second overtime period to seal the game for the Bearcats. Lander and UAH combined for 94 total shots in the contest. Sophomore Liam Mackay made 12 saves as he picked up his third win of the season. The Bearcats return to Van Taylor Stadium for their next match as they host Shorter on March 27 for a 5:30 pm start.
