The Alderson Broaddus men's lacrosse team fell to the Roberts Wesleyan Redhawks 13-12 on Saturday afternoon. The Redhawks took an 11-7 lead after scoring a goal with two seconds left in the third period. Entering the fourth down by four, the Battlers had some work to do to get back in the game. Jordan Look scored to gain some momentum for AB, just seconds into the fourth quarter. Christian Clarkin, Ty Cadeau, and Matthew Amato would also score goals for AB to cut their deficit to 12-11. After one more goal by Roberts Wesleyan, Matthew Amato scored one more goal to make the score 13-12 with two seconds left; unfortunately not enough time for AB to score one more goal. Roberts Wesleyan outscored AB 4-1 in the first quarter, but then the Battlers had a strong second quarter of their own. Jacob Porter scored two goals and Justin Jablonski added a goal and an assist in the second quarter, with AB outscoring the Redhawks 3-0. Both teams headed into halftime tied at four. Matthew Amato led AB with four goals, followed by Jordan Look with three. Justin Jablonski scored one goal while adding a game-high five assists. Ty Cadeau scored one and added one assist. Joseph Varela made 16 saves in net for AB.
