Jillian Wilson scored four goals for a second-straight game, and Livy Rosenzweig added two goals and three assists in a 14-10 victory for No. 12/10 Loyola University Maryland women's lacrosse over Towson on Wednesday. Kaitlyn Larsson registered 10 saves in goal for the Greyhounds (2-0), who were held off the scoreboard until the 8:39 mark of the first half but followed with an extended 12-3 run to take control. The Tigers (0-3) were up 2-0 when Rosenzweig finally got the home side on the board. Wilson, Elli Kluegel and Sam Fiedler tacked on unassisted strikes to put Loyola in front heading into halftime. Larsson made five key stops in the opening minutes of the second half, and the Greyhound run ultimately grew to seven with a Kluegel free-position goal sandwiched between two more tallies from Wilson. Towson responded with three-straight to pull back within a pair at 7-5, but an unassisted strike by Caitlyn Gunn began a 5-0 run for Loyola which put the game out of reach. Gunn's goal, the fourth of her Loyola career, came with 14:52 remaining in regulation. Rosenzweig then found Bridget Ballard inside to beat the shot clock horn with 11:39 left, and Katie Detwiler set up Emily Wills just 19 seconds later to up the advantage to 10-5. The assist was Detwiler's first at Loyola, with the defender also supplying five draw controls and three ground balls. Wills and Sydney Foster rounded out the run for the Greyhounds, with Foster's collegiate goal coming with 6:02 left on the clock. Towson scored four times in the last two and a half minutes to cut into its final deficit. Loyola won its third-straight in the series and improved to 35-13 overall against the Tigers. Wilson added six draws in the win, matching her career-best total from Loyola's 16-7 victory over Johns Hopkins last Saturday. Shay Clevenger had a team-high four ground balls, while Clevenger and TaNia Cunningham both forced a pair of turnovers. Rosenzweig's five-point game was the 28th of her career. She now has 229 points (105 G, 124 A), moving past Rita Ciletti (1983-86) up to No. 8 all-time in program history. Loyola hits the road for the first time this weekend, traveling to No. 4/3 Florida for a matchup between two top-15 teams at 12 p.m. on Saturday.
