Box Score Allen Thomas scored six goals to lead the Misericordia University men's lacrosse team to a 24-6 win at Albright, Saturday. Pat Luzzi added four goals and five assists while Nick Torzilli had three goals and five assists and Robert Wagner added two goals and five assists. Carson Venis scored four goals and Ryan Vandenburg had two goals and an assist. Wagner had a team-high nine ground balls and Luzzi had seven. Luzzi and Nick Caprio both caused three turnovers. Chris Straub made five saves in goal to earn the win. The teams traded goals throughout the early portion of the first quarter before the Cougars scored five straight over the final 6:58 of the period. Thomas scored twice in less than a minute to give the Cougars a 5-3 lead with 6:19 to go. Torzilli followed with a man-up goal and Luzzi and Thomas both added goals as the Cougars took an 8-3 lead after one quarter. Torzilli scored twice as the Cougars scored five straight goals to take a 13-3 lead with 4:25 left in the second quarter. Michael Kilgallon scored in the opening minute of the second half and the Cougars scored five consecutive goals to stretch their lead to 20-5 with 11:06 to go in the third quarter.
