Harvard dropped its regular-season finale on Saturday to No. 4/5 Yale, 22-11. The contest was the final home game for six Crimson seniors and the sextuplet was recognized in a pregame ceremony for their contributions to the Harvard program. The Class of 2019, featuring Larsen Bidstrup, Jonathan Butler, Brett Clark, Spencer Daniel, James Sullivan and Eric Wang, received the starting nod from Chris Wojcik, The Frisbie Family Head Coach for Harvard Men's Lacrosse. The Bulldogs (11-2; 5-1 Ivy League) scored the first four goals of the game in a matter of 3 minutes, 21 seconds, but the Crimson fought its way back, starting with a Myles Hamm strike. Less than minute later, Austin Madronic scored the first of his three goals to slice Harvard's deficit in half. Yale responded with a goal of its own only to have Kyle Salvatore and Nigel Andrews score back-to-back goals in a span of 36 seconds to get Harvard to within one. The Bulldogs' Jackson Morrill, however, found the back of the net with six seconds left in the frame to go ahead, 6-4, heading into the second quarter. Morrill notched his second goal to open the scoring once the action resumed and Madronic answered with 10:57 on the clock to keep Crimson within striking distance at 7-5. Yale, however, closed the half on a 5-0 run to push its lead to 12-5. The Bulldogs scored the first goal of the third quarter and the 6-0 spurt was paused when Madronic secured his hat trick. After the Crimson (5-8; 1-5 Ivy League) stopped the run, Yale scored another six unanswered goals and seven of the final eight goals of the frame to grab a 20-7 lead. Harvard ended up outscoring Yale in the final 15 minutes, 4-2, to provide the final margin. Finding the back of the net was Kyle Anderson, Salvatore and Hamm on two different occasions to record his hat trick. Harvard Highlights With his fourth-quarter goal, Anderson kept his goal and point streaks alive. The junior scored in his 13th straight game and earned a point for the 25th consecutive outing. Hamm recorded his fifth hat trick of the season and of his career. Madronic supplied Harvard with his fourth hat trick, which was the most among Crimson first-years. Kyle Mullin had 15 saves, his seventh performance this season with at least that many stops.
