Colorado College celebrated the contributions of its nine seniors on Friday night, but it was No. 14 Williams College that celebrated a victory at Washburn Field. Kevin Stump and Jake Haase combined for nine goals and eight assists to lead the Ephs to a 19-9 victory in a game delayed by lightning for 50 minutes and saw snow turn the turf from green to white during the first half. CC was within one a goal after Jack O'Donnell and Tyler Borko scored 40 seconds apart in the first quarter, but Stump and Haase factored in four consecutive goals for Williams before Aaron Maslow struck for the Tigers with 6.6 seconds remaining in the frame. The Ephs seized control of the game with six unanswered markers in the second quarter, then two more in the third to cap an 8-0 run. Max Rieser scored with 3.3 seconds remaining in the third quarter and added two more during the first 66 seconds of quarter number four. John Sutro made it four in row for Colorado College with an unassisted goal at the 12-minute mark to cut the Williams lead to 15-7, but any hopes of a miracle comeback evaporated when Stump, Haase and Cory Lund scored for the Ephs midway through period. Parker Woo got one back for CC with 2:59 to play, and after Riley van den Broek added the final Williams tally, Coby Petau notched a man-up goal for the Tigers to close out the scoring. The Ephs won 19 of 31 faceoffs and had a 39-30 advantage in ground balls. The extra possessions helped Williams finish with a 43-39 edge in total shots. Andrew Harwood finished with 16 saves for Colorado College, marking the fourth time this season he stopped double-digit shots. Brice Tucker made one save while playing the final 7:04. Sutro and Aaron Maslow finished with a goal and an assist for the Tigers. Jack Ammons led the Colorado College defense with five caused turnovers, while John Lawrence pocked up seven ground balls. Harry Gahagan finished with nine saved for the Ephs, who improved to 7-1 and leveled the four-game series with CC at two wins apiece. Stump led the Williams attack with six goals and an assist, while Haase produced three goals and set up seven more. Colorado College plays the final three games of the regular season on the road, beginning with a trip to Chestertown, Md., on Sunday, April 7, to face Washington College.
