Making just its second trip to Colorado in program history, the Haverford College men's lacrosse team dropped a 20-3 game to Colorado College on Sunday afternoon. The Fords trip out west marked the first time since 2002 (Las Vegas) that Haverford played outside of the Eastern time zone. Haverford's only other trip to Colorado came during the 1997 season. Colorado College came into the day receiving votes in the USILA National Poll. As the furthest team west in the national poll, the Tigers (5-0) proved worthy of their national attention with at least four goals during each of the four quarters to remain unbeaten. Haverford got two goals from Sean Mowatt-Larssen and its final goal from Drew Hoffman. Wyatt Feinberg assisted on Mowatt-Larssen's second of two goals on Sunday. Mowatt-Larssen has now scored multiple goals during each of the four games in which he has played this season. The Fords' sophomore has found the back of the cage 10 times this season to give him 38 goals during his career. His two goals came less than two minutes apart during the first quarter to give Haverford a 2-1 lead at the time. Nevertheless, the Fords were held off the scoreboard for over 42 minutes by the vaunted defense which was anchored by seven saves from starting goalie Andrew Harwood. Mowatt-Larssen led the Fords with 10 shots on the afternoon. Haverford finished the contest with 30 shots but was able to put just 12 of those attempts on target. Hoffman, a first-year, broke that scoreless stretch in the fourth quarter with his second goal of the season. Hoffman tallied the first goal of his career just two games prior during the trip to Eastern. Men's lacrosse will play its second of two games in Colorado this Tuesday, March 10 against Baldwin Wallace at 12 p.m. mountain time (2 p.m. on the east coast). That contest will be a neutral site game also hosted by Colorado College.
