Inside the Box Score: Jackson Morrill led the Pioneers with four points on a hat trick and the single-season record breaking assist, his 37th of the season. Jack Hannah netted a hat trick of his own. Lucas Cotler and Ethan Walker had two goals apiece and Alex Simmons had three assists. TD Ierlan led the Pioneers at the faceoff dot, going 17-of-19 with 11 ground balls. First Quarter: Walker gave the Pioneers an early lead with his 38th of the year. The teams went scoreless over the next eight minutes before Seth Higgins tied it up for the Hounds at 1-1 with 3:38 to go. Malik Sparrow's second goal in as many games made it 2-1 Pioneers seven seconds later, but Aidan Olmstead tied the game up again at 2-2 with 17 seconds to play. Second Quarter: Loyola scored seven of the nine goals in the second quarter to open up a five-goal halftime lead. The Hounds got four-straight and six of the seven to open the quarter with Cotler's first of two in there to break up the run. Cotler scored his second after two more Loyola goals to cut the lead to 8-4 with 3:30 to go in the half. Olmstead rounded out the second half scoring with a pass that went into the back of the net to push the Hounds lead to 9-4 at the intermission. Third Quarter Denver came out halftime on fire, outscoring the Hounds 6-2 in the period. Kyle Smith scored 44 seconds into the quarter, Hannah's first of a second-half hat trick came 35 seconds later, and Morrill rounded out the early spurt to make it 9-7 with 11:53 to go in the third. Kevin Lindley and Morrill cancelled each other out with goals seven seconds apart to make it 10-8 with 10:26 to play in the quarter. Peter Swindell pushed the Loyola lead back to three, but a second in the quarter from Hannah and Morrill's hat trick goal made it 11-10 at the end of the third quarter. Fourth Quarter Loyola got the first two goals of the fourth quarter to extend its lead back to three with 7:02 to play. Walker responded with one 13 seconds later to make it 13-11.
