The Shenandoah University men's lacrosse team held off Marymount College with a 16-11 win on Saturday afternoon in a non-league contest. The Hornets (3-1) held off the Saints (0-2) using a five goal run in the middle of the contest to pull away for the third win of the season. IN BRIEF In a strong defensive quarter, SU took an early lead in the first, Jay Baker found Tyler Held for the first goal of the game at the 9:27 mark. Austin Galler followed the goal with an unassisted one of his own after winning the face-off to himself. The Saints found the back of the net at 7:55 to bring the score to 2-1 at the end of the opening quarter. Marymount found momentum in the second quarter going on a 3-0 run from the 13:44 to the 8:51 mark to take a 4-3 lead before Shenandoah took the lead with back-to-back unassisted goals from Sophomores Chris Baker and Logan Clingerman.
