Top-seeded Boston College erased a three-goal deficit with 8:10 to play to take a 14-13 victory over vs. #4 Syracuse in the semifinal round of the 2019 ACC Championship, held at Alumni Stadium. Taylor Walker's tally with 14.3 seconds remaining proved to be the game-winner for the Eagles, who advance to Sunday's ACC Championship game. Walker took the entry pass from Dempsey Arsenault and scored on a backhanded flip, past Syracuse goalkeeper Asa Goldstock. The Eagles tied it with 1:40 left in regulation, as Sam Apuzzo recovered a turnover deep in Syracuse territory and found the back of the net. She registered a hat trick on the evening for BC. It was a back-and-forth start to the match before the Orange took a two-goal lead - 5-3 - midway through the first half. The Eagles scored the next three, taking a 7-6 lead off the stick of Apuzzo with 7:25 left. BC led 7-6, after Arsenault scored off a bouncing shot on a free-position. Cuse's Emily Hawryschuk's diving shot in the waning seconds of the period tied it at 7-7 into the break. Syracuse scored to start the second half before two straight from Boston College - by Apuzzo and Sheila Rietano - made it, 9-8, with 26:04 to go. The Orange tied it again with 24:43 to play and with the game knotted at 9-9, BC made a switch in net as Lauren Daly took over for Abbey Ngai. Walker would strike four-and-a-half minutes later on a free position opportunity, making it 10-9 in favor of BC. The Orange would score four unanswered goals, taking a 13-10 lead with 8:10 remaining before the top-ranked Eagles made their surge. The Eagles will take on the winner of the matchup between #2-seeded North Carolina and #6 Duke in the title game on Sunday at 1 p.m. GAME INFORMATION Score: #1 Boston College 14, #4 Syracuse 13 Records: Boston College 19-0 (7-0 ACC), Syracuse 15-4 (0-7 ACC) Location: Chestnut Hill, Mass. – Alumni Stadium HOW IT HAPPENED FIRST HALF GOAL: BC 1, Cuse 0: 28:39 – Arsenault scores on a free position straight ahead GOAL: BC 1, Cuse 1 - 27:47: Rahal from the backside of the net to score on the left side GOAL: BC 2, Cuse 1 - 26:50: Walker takes a diagonal pass from Rietano, left to right GOAL: BC 2, Cuse 2 - 25:12 - Wallon scores man-up goal down the middle of the scoring area GOAL: Cuse 3, BC 2 - 24:44 - Hawryschuk goes from behind the goal to score upper left corner GOAL: Cuse 4, BC 2 - 20:54 - Hawryschuk side-delivery on the run, right side GOAL: Cuse 4, BC 3 - 18:26 - Kent takes the errant pass, scores off right post GOAL: Cuse 5, BC 3 - 15:21 - Levy goes parallel to the goal; scores low right corner GOAL: Cuse 5, BC 4 - 11:45 - Lappin goes 1v1 after corralling the ground ball off the turnover GOAL: BC 5, Cuse 5 - 10:21 - Taylor takes centering pass from Rietano and scores GOAL: BC 6, Cuse 5 - 7:25 - Sam.
