Junior Tyler Corpora scored a career-high five goals on Tuesday to help the Hartford men's lacrosse team take down Manhattan, 11-8, on Al-Marzook Field. Remaining perfect at home, the Hawks improve to 2-3 on the season, while the Jaspers fall to 2-3. PHOTO GALLERY HARTFORD 11, MANHATTAN 8 After exchanging a pair of two-goal runs, Corpora, who put the Hawks on the board 29 seconds into the contest, completed the first-quarter hat trick and made it a 4-2 Hartford lead after the first quarter. The second quarter was all Hartford, with Carter O'Connell and Justin Tkachuk scoring at the 5:31 and 3:45 mark, until Sean MacKinny found the back of the net with 17.3 seconds left to end the Hawks' 4-0 run and close the gap to 6-3 at halftime. Manhattan kept the momentum going after the break, extending its run to four-unanswered scores to knot up the game at 6-6 with 5:15 left. But the Hawks responded in a big way, netting five of the next six goals of the game to retake a four-goal advantage at 11-7 with 14:01 left in the game.
