The Central Connecticut women's lacrosse dropped its home finale to Sacred Heart, 14-4, on Wednesday at Arute Field. The Blue Devils trailed throughout in a wet and cold, windy game that was moved back due to thunderstorms in the area.
Senior Molly Coogan led CCSU with two goals.

KEY MOMENTS
Sacred Heart scored the games first five goals and would hold CCSU scoreless until Coogan scored her first of the game at the 18:25 mark.
Following a pair of SHU goals, CCSU got back to back scores from junior Raphaela DaSilva and Coogan to make it 7-3 midway through the first half.
The Pioneers would score four straight to close the first half and opened the second half with two goals to push their lead to double-digits. Freshman Eliz Fino scored for Central with 1:24 to play before SHU tacked on a goal with 0:42 remaining to settle the scoring.
NOTES
Coogan added two ground balls and a draw control.
Senior Cooper Cowdin made 13 saves and had a team-high seven ground balls.
Senior Emma Sullivan hadfour ground balls, three draw controls and two caused turnovers.
UP NEXT
The Blue Devils travel to Bryant on Saturday.
