NEWTON, Mass. – The No. 13 Boston College lacrosse team takes down the No. 15 USC Trojans, 14-8, during a Friday Matinee at the Newton Lacrosse and Soccer Field. Seniors Charlotte North and Cara Urbank led the offense, both tallying five points. North had four goals and one assist, while Urbank had three goals and two assists. Junior Rachel Hall made seven saves on the day, including five in the second half to keep BC in front. BC hit the ground running following its win over Albany, scoring the first four goals of the game by four different goal scorers. Jenn Medjid got the Eagles going 1:45 into the game, while Caitlynn Mossman, Urbank and Cassidy Weeks would follow. Urbank's first goal of the game was her 100th of her career at BC. A USC goal would end BC's 4-0 run, but the Eagles would score two more from the sticks of Urbank and North. The Eagles outshot the Women of Troy, 29-23, and went an astounding 17-19 clearing the ball. North scored a highlight-reel behind the back goal to close out the first-half scoring, off an incredible feed from Urbank. Annie Walsh and Belle Smith would join the scoring campaign for the Eagles in the second half. USC would get the score to 11-8 with 4:15 to go in the game before Smith, Weeks and North would go on to score in the final two minutes. BC Highlights Cara Urbank scored her 100th-career goal. She now has seven goals and three assists this season. Charlotte North scored four goals, giving her 12 on the year and a total of 14 points. She's shooting .667 from the field. Rachel Hall moves to 2-0 in net this season after her seven-save performance. BC had seven different goal scorers on the day. Up Next BC stays at home, welcoming UMass to Fish Field House on Tuesday, March 2. The game will be shown live on ACCNX.
