NEWTON, Mass. – The No. 1 Boston College lacrosse team earned head coach Acacia Walker-Weinstein her 100th win at the helm of the program as the Eagles took down No. 21 Georgetown in stunning fashion, 21-11, Saturday afternoon in Newton. The Eagles were held up by five different players recording at least three goals and seven saves by goalkeeper Abbey Ngai. The Eagles started the game with a fire under them, jumping to a 9-0 lead just 11 minutes into the game. Kenzie Kent pushed for the first goal of the afternoon before six different Eagles scored the following eight goals. Dempsey Arsenault and Sam Apuzzo each tallied two in the opening stretch while Cara Urbank had a hand in six of the opening half scores through three of her own goals and three assists. The Hoyas were nowhere to be found before Mary Pagano earned the first point for the visitors at the 18:40 mark. Georgetown found a boost in momentum to close the first half, going on a 4-1 run through the final nine minutes. The Hoyas opened up the second half in a promising manner, but couldn't find the momentum needed to erase the 13-5 halftime deficit. As Georgetown put up the first two goals of the second frame, Sheila Rietano polished off her third career hat trick and kept going, ending the afternoon with a career-high four goals. As the contest came to a close, Arsenault and Jenn Medjid wrapped up their hat tricks as nine different Eagles appeared on the final scoresheet.
