The Terriers led wire-to-wire, scoring the game's first four goals and getting on the board at least three times every quarter. After taking a 12-3 lead into the break, BU opened second half with junior Kyle Parsons' first collegiate goal for its first of three separate 10-goal leads, including the final score. The River Hawks responded to the Parsons goal with three consecutive goals to make it 13-6 but that's as close as they would get the rest of the way. Junior Cal Dearth scored an extra-man goal and posted game highs in both points (6) and assists (5). Sophomore James Burr led all players with three goals while seniors Michael Carbone and Chad Bell and junior Jack Wilson each contributed two goals. In all, 17 Terriers recorded at least one point and 13 of them notched at least one goal.
