Senior Aaron Forster ended his storied career on a high note, resetting his own single-season goals record in NJIT men's lacrosse's 19-6 season finale defeat to the No. 19/18 Army West Point Black Knights Friday evening at Frederick Douglass Field. Forster's third goal of the game - at the 14:18 mark of the fourth quarter - was his 35th of the season, eclipsing the 34 scores he registered as a sophomore in 2017. Forster would add a fourth goal with 1:07 remaining in the contest to finish the 2019 campaign with 36 goals. Forster also added an assist to tally five points on the day. Jackson Boyd logged a goal and an assist while seniors Ryan Darrow (one goal) and Cole Robillard (one assist) added to the boxscore in their final game as a Highlander. Army (10-4) scored the first four goals of the game and jumped out to a 7-1 lead over NJIT (2-13) after the opening quarter. The Black Knights doubled the score by halftime (14-2) and held a 17-3 edge going into the fourth. The Highlanders did end the season on a positive note, outscoring Army 3-2 in the final quarter. Forster had a hand in all three, scoring two (one assisted by Robillard) and setting up the other by Boyd. OTHER NOTES With his career in the books, Forster now owns the following NJIT marks: Goals - Career (115) Goals - Season (35, 2019) Goals - Game (9 vs Quinnipiac, 3/2/19) Assists - Career (52) Assists - Season (17, 2019; tied with Collin Fogerty) Assists - Game (5 at Hampton, 4/15/17) Points - Career (167) Points - Season (43, 2019) Points - Game (11 vs Quinnipiac, 3/2/19)
