CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The No. 1 Boston College lacrosse team kept their routine in place with their 16th-straight win, taking down Yale, 15-10, Tuesday afternoon in Chestnut Hill. Eight Eagles tallied goals while the offensive effort was led by three goals each from Kenzie Kent, Dempsey Arsenault and Cara Urbank. Sophomore goalkeeper Abbey Ngai earned another win with nine saves between the pipes while the defense had a particularly dominant day, picking up 20 ground balls and causing 11 of Yale's 14 turnovers. Despite a sluggish start to the contest, the Eagles found their footing after trading goals with the Bulldogs. Sam Apuzzo got the scoring started for BC for the sixth time this year before the teams found themselves at a 3-3 knot halfway through the opening frame. The Eagles kicked it into high gear, going on a 10-goal run, ending the first half up 9-3 and tallying four more to start the second. The second frame opened with back-to-back Kent goals before Urbank and Arsenault followed suit. Yale's Izzy Nixon put an end to the run after Arsenault secured the 10-goal lead for a running clock, but Urbank quickly responded. After an eight-minute scoring drought, Vanessa Yu tallied for the Bulldogs, but Arsenault secured her third of the day less than a minute later. Olivia Markert and Addie Zinsner kept the fight going for Yale, as the pair combined for five unanswered goals to wrap up the contest.
