St. John's had 18 turnovers to just nine for the Scarlet Knights. RU was 23-of-24 on clears and goalkeeper Stephen Russo made 14 saves. HOW IT HAPPENED The Scarlet Knights raced out to a 9-4 halftime lead, spurred on by a 6-2 advantage in the second quarter. Adam Charalambides recorded a hat trick in the opening half, while Ryan Gallagher tallied twice. Stephen Russo made nine saves in the opening 30 minutes. In the second half, St. John's got back to within four at 12-8, but RU responded with a four-goal run that prevented any thoughts of a comeback.
