In a showdown that will be remembered for the wild snow storm that made its presence known throughout the winter game, the Denver Pioneers traveled to Philadelphia for a showdown with the Villanova Wildcats in a match up of two top 20 teams. Despite a furious comeback in the fourth quarter, the Wildcats fell short of pulling off the upset when Connor Cannizzaro scored the eventual game winner late in the game to give Denver a 12-11 win.
