The STX Stallion 700 Lacrosse Head

Oct 18, 2016
The debut of the STX Stallion 700 lacrosse head is one of the most highly anticipated offensive lacrosse head releases of the coming season for elite level players.  Offensive players are excited about this lacrosse head release from STX because of some enhancements on some critical areas of the head.  As players evolve and become bigger, faster and stronger, STX has made a commitment to also evolving.  This may not necessarily mean adding new gimmicks on new models, but rather, choosing to perfect technology that is already battle-tested at the highest levels of the game.  The new STX  Stallion 700 lacrosse head is no different.  STX made a few slight adjustments, based on the feedback of the best high school players, collegiate athletes and Pros in the nation.  The result is the all new STX Stallion 700 men's lacrosse head.  Let’s dive in and take closer look.   [caption id="attachment_19881" align="aligncenter" width="600"]STX Stallion 700 Lacrosse Head STX Stallion 700 Lacrosse Head[/caption]   One of the most outstanding features of the STX Stallion 550 predecessor, was the speed scoop.  This shallow arc design was a favorite of two-way middies that appreciated the ability to get the ball up and off the field or turn quickly.  The speed scoop shape also lent itself to forming that release channel right to the apex of the head.  This was a critical component of fast releases and accurate shooting from outside.  STX took a bit of weight out of the scoop in the Stallion 700 to better balance the head.  There is no difference in stiffness, so the STX Stallion 700 lacrosse head still delivers blistering shot speeds for guys who fire on the run.   The next change are adjustments to the C-Channel.  This is the extra ridge that STX puts in its marquee heads to stiffen them up without adding any weight.  They made this channel a tiny bit deeper to add a bit more torque and load to your shots.  The C-Channel on the STX Stallion 700 lacrosse head is their strongest to date.  In the Channel itself, STX made some slight string hole adjustments that allow that mid-high pocket to sit a little better right up off the throat.  The STX Stallion 700 is a true middie head offering the two-handed power cradle,  complete ball control and a quick release on the run.  If you are an attackman that finds yourself backing in a bit more than challenging with pure speed, then the STX Stallion 700 will also fit your game nicely.   [caption id="attachment_19891" align="aligncenter" width="600"]STX Stallion 700 head STX Stallion 700[/caption] The coolest new feature is the throat design.  We’re not exactly sure how to describe it… but it basically gives the feeling of ultimate quality meeting ultimate performance.  It just reeks of quality and craftsmanship.  The attention to detail here is unparalleled.   STX hit every nook and cranny of this head with sweet curves and some highly detailed textures.  Do those actually improve performance like the points above…  heck no..  but they look really freaking cool !!  This head is like a well designed sports car that you just can’t wait to get out on the road.     If you want the same technology, looks, performance and attention to detail as the best collegiate players in the nation, look no further than the all new, next-generation STX Stallion 700 lacrosse head.  Total winner – top of the best sellers list by season… and just wait till the upper end high school crowd gets a taste.  Get some quality mesh and string one up and you will also feel the thrill of taking the field with the best.  If you have any questions, just reach out to one of our Pro’s at 855-255-5294 or email us at questions@lax.com.
